Terms of Service

Last updated: August 12, 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of GuideGo — the website, and any related apps or services we operate (the "Service"). By creating an account, browsing guide or experience listings, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or book an experience on GuideGo.

2. What GuideGo is

GuideGo is a marketplace that connects travelers with independent local guides for private, guide-led city experiences — guide-only, or guide with a vehicle where locally permitted and where the guide is separately verified for that. We are not a tour operator, travel agency, or employer of guides, and we don't lead tours ourselves.

Guides who list experiences on GuideGo are independent, third-party providers, not GuideGo employees, agents, or partners. GuideGo is not responsible for the conduct, availability, or the quality of a guide's tour itself — our role is to verify guide identity and credentials before a profile becomes visible, operate the marketplace, and facilitate booking and payment once that functionality is live.

3. Accounts

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping your login credentials confidential. You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.

We can suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, provides false information, or engages in behavior that puts other users' safety at risk.

4. Guide accounts and verification

Guides must complete GuideGo's verification process — identity confirmation and, depending on the services offered, credential, license, background-check, or vehicle-documentation review — before a guide profile or experience becomes publicly visible. Verification confirms the documents a guide submitted; it does not guarantee the quality, safety, or outcome of any specific tour.

Guides are solely responsible for complying with all local laws and licensing requirements applicable to guiding, driving, or transporting passengers in the cities where they operate.

5. Bookings and payments

When in-platform booking is available for a given listing, the price shown at the time you request or reserve a booking is the price GuideGo will charge, subject to the booking flow's own confirmation and payment steps. Payment is processed through GuideGo's payment provider — we don't accept cash, card numbers, or off-platform payment for a booking made through the Service.

GuideGo may charge a service fee on top of the guide's listed price; where a fee applies, it's disclosed before you complete a booking.

6. Cancellations and refunds

Cancellations and refunds for a booking are governed by GuideGo's Cancellation Policy, which is part of these Terms by reference.

7. Conduct, and staying on-platform

To keep bookings, payments, and messaging safe and disputable, GuideGo requires that booking arrangements and payments made through the Service stay on the Service — not be moved to cash, personal payment apps, or off-platform contact for the purpose of avoiding GuideGo's fees or protections. We may suspend accounts that solicit or agree to off-platform payment for a GuideGo booking.

You agree not to use the Service to harass, discriminate against, defraud, or endanger another user, and not to submit false reviews, false verification documents, or false booking information.

8. Reviews and content

Reviews must reflect a genuine experience with the guide or traveler being reviewed. We may remove reviews or other user-submitted content that's fraudulent, abusive, or violates these Terms.

By submitting content to GuideGo — a review, a guide bio, experience photos, or similar — you grant GuideGo a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display that content on the Service for the purpose of operating the marketplace.

9. Intellectual property

The GuideGo name, logo, and the Service's design and software are owned by GuideGo or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers that ownership to you.

10. Disclaimers

GuideGo provides the Service on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We don't guarantee that guide listings are error-free, that a guide will be available at every requested time, or that the Service will be uninterrupted.

GuideGo is a marketplace connecting travelers and independent guides — we are not a party to, and don't guarantee the performance of, the actual guiding services a guide provides.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GuideGo isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or from a guide's conduct during a booked experience. GuideGo's total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid GuideGo for the booking giving rise to the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify GuideGo against claims, losses, and expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for a violation of these Terms, fraud, or a safety concern.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to that venue.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date below when we do; continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
